  Aniagoh Receives Safety Award of Excellence. The Nigerian Institution of Safety Engineers has presented a Safety Award of Excellence to the immediate past Director-General of Anambra State Digital Entrepreneurship Office, Engr Ifeanyi ANIAGOH for his commitment to safety principles.  The award which was presented by Engr S. I. Offodile during the Public Lecture organised by Safety Division of the Nigerian Society of Engineers, in Awka, Anambra State, was received on behalf of Aniagoh by Engr. Fimbarr Ajegwu. Anambra CP led operatives that foiled   gunmen attack at Nteje police station . killed one, recover ammunition.  Operatives of the Anambra State Police command, led by the state commissioner of police, CP Echeng Echeng have killed a member of a group after they attempted to attack another police station in the state. Hurricane  News learnt that the gang of gunmen had attacked Nteje police station, but luck ran out on them when operatives of the command got a tip off and launched a counter on them. Just Tuesday morning, some gunmen had attacked a police station at Ogbaru, killing four police officers and razing down the station. Anambra State Police command’s spokesperson, DSP Toochukwu Ikenga who disclosed the latest attack on Nteje police station said the gunmen visited the state at 3am on Thursday. The sexual assault on  the twelve year old girl from Ufuma Community in Orumba North local government area has drawn the anger of a women group who are calling for justice . Last week a young girl  from Ufuma (name withheld), was defiled by a pastor who is also a lecturer Mr Onyekwere at the Nnamdi Azikiwe University Awka while working as a house help at the man's house. The twelve year old girl had to jump from an  up stair for safety and broke her left leg in the process. Though the pastor is now under police custody the Ultimate Women Traders and Farmers Association has insisted that the  suspect must be made to face the long arms of the law.   Anambra police parade 32 suspects for cultism, touting and other offences Anambra State Police Command has paraded 32 suspects for various offences  ranging from cultism, revenue touting and possession of prohibited firearm. According to Police public relations Officer , DSP Toochukwu Ikenga who was quoting the state police commissioner, CP Echeng Echeng said the command has resolved to stamp out violent crimes, extortion and other forms of crime and criminality in the State.   Cleric Arrested for Defiling 12years Old girl in Anambra . The Anambra state police command has arrested a Pastor for allegedly defiling a twelve years old girl in Awka.   Two Feared Dead As  Gunmen Attack Four Police Stations In Anambra..  It is being feared that two persons lost their lives when gunmen attacked four Police Stations in Anambra state today. The Police Stations include, Amichi , Nnewichi , Osumoghu and Ezinifite in Nnewi North and South local government areas. This is coming twenty four hours after the Police station in Ukpor Nnewi South local government area was burnt. It is however not clear which of the Police stations that the two persons died but it was confirmed that the number of casualties is more than eighteen.
