  Police Arrest Woman, Daughter For Alleged Plot To Sell Two Children In Anambra By John Okafor, Awka  Police in Anambra State have arrested a 38 year old mother of eleven children and a young girl aged 17 years for plotting to sell two children in the state. Mrs. Chinyere Chukwu and her daughter Miss Joy Chukwu were nabbed by officials of the Anambra State Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Welfare for attempting to sell two of her grandsons. Investigations revealed that Miss Joy Chukwu, who is the mother of the boys, had allegedly agreed to give out her two children to a prospective buyer at the rate of N1.8million. Chukwu was arrested after the commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Welfare, Hon Ify Obinabo posed as a buyer for the children. The Commissioner was said to have hint  abiutbthe secret plot and willingness by Mrs Chukwu to sell off the teo unsuspecting young boys .   Group Warns Gov Soludo To Stop Aides From Attacking LP Lawmaker By John Okafor, Awka  A political and pressure group, Anambra Progressive and Good Governance Association has tasked the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) led government under  the state Governor  Prof. Chukwuma Soludo, to call his aides to order over persistent attacks on Prof. Lilian Orogbu, the Labour Party House of Representatives lawmaker.  The group in a statement signed by its president, Ifeanyi Nweke, said some of Soludo’s aides have been attacking Orogbu, who represents Awka North/ South in the House of Representatives, for daring to condemn the destruction of traders’ wares in Awka the state capital recently.
