  Lack Of Internal Democracy Bane Of APC Victory In Anambra . .... Okey Chukwuogo. Last Sunday a meeting of some Stakeholders of the Anambra APC was called off by the Acting Chairman of the party. One of the conveners Arch Okey Chukwuogo spoke with our correspondent Nkiru Nwagbo . Question; We learnt that there was a stakeholders meeting of the party which was stopped by the Acting party Chairman, what actually happened? Answer ; There was a stakeholders meeting that was summoned at Marble Arch hotel here in Awka and my understanding of the meeting is that it was called for us members of the All Progressive Congress APC who are not happy that our party lost in the gubernatorial election and so badly too. So members to f the APC had to meet to chat a way forward and to decide on what to make our party vibrant again. Obi The Vice Presidential Candidate of the People's Democratic Party, PDP, in 2019 election, Mr. Peter Obi, has called on the Federal Government, especially the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) to re-strategise on how to arrest the present menace of hard drugs in Nigeria, which, according to him, “is evidently ruining many youths.” In a statement made available to the press by his Media Office, Obi said it would be irresponsible on the parts of the elders to keep quiet in the face of the ugly stories emanating from different parts of the country on the new trend on hard drugs among Nigerian youths. NKIRU NWAGBO, AWKA The Anambra State Government has warned that Monday, November 22, 2021 is not a work-free day in the state. The Commissioner of Information and Public Enlightenment C. Don Adinuba in a circular stated that the reminder became necessary because of the tendency of some people who have observed “in the last few months every Monday as a work-free day, in compliance with the directive by some non-state actors in an effort to press the Federal Government to free the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB),  Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, who is standing trial for some charges in Abuja brought by the federal administration”. BREAKING NEWS AnambraGuber: At Last Soludo Declared Winner .  NKIRU NWAGBO, AWKA At exactly 1.51am   on 10th November 2021the All Progressive Grand Alliance  APGA candidate, Prof Charrles Chukwuma Soludo was finally  declared winner of the 2021 Governorship election in Anambra state. The returning Officer for the said election Prof Florence Obi , Vice Chancellor University of Calabar made the declaration at the Independent Electoral Commission INEC headquarters in  Awka. According to her  the commission having completed election in the twenty one local government of Anambra state found APGA to have gathered highest number of total votes cast. By NKIRU NWAGBO The Peoples Democratic Party PDP candidate in the Anambra State 2021 governorship election, Mr. Valentine Ozigbo Monday said he is still optimistic of winning the Governorship seat of the state. INEC had announced the election result of 20 out of 21 local government areas in the state, with the candidate of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA leading, and followed by Ozigbo.
