 Anambra CP presents over 43M naira cheques to families of  deceased policemen. NKIRU NWAGBO, AWKA 10/01/2023 The Commissioner of Police, Anambra State Command, CP Echeng Echeng, has  presented cheques worth forty-three million, two hundred and eighty-nine thousand, four hundred and seventy-one naira, seventeen kobo to twenty (20) families of deceased Police officers attached to the Command. The gesture is an initiative of the Inspector-General of Police *” IGP family welfare insurance scheme”* aimed at giving succor to the family of Police officers who died in active service.  Also, the gesture is aimed at spurring officers’ to greatness while discharging their statutory duties with the assurance that, their welfare is of paramount importance to the Administration of the Force.  The CP while presenting the cheques,   on behalf of the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Usman Baba Alkali, CFR   thanked the Inspector-General of Police for his relentless efforts towards ensuring a good welf

  Peter Obi/Datti Storm Anambra Today.To Meet With Students/ Monarch At Govt House. Presidential candidate of the Labour Party Mr Peter Obi and his running mate Sen Ahmed Datti would be in Anambra state today for the party's Presidential mega rally. Contrary to the belief in some quarters that Gov Charles Soludo is at daggers drawn with Mr Peter Obi, the Labor Party Presidential candidate would be meeting with the Traditional Rulers at the Government House Awka which has the approval of the governor himself. Recall that at Obi's declaration for his  Presidential ambition Soludo had also granted him the use of the Government House Conference Hall and Traditional Rulers Hall for his function. At the moment over 180 Support groups have concluded arrangements to carry out a solidarity match to the All Saints Anglican Church field Onitsha for the rally.   Anambra Set For Tinubu/Shettima Mega  Rally. As APC Members Receive N149 Million Food Items. All is set for the proposed mega rally of the Presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress APC and his Running mate Sen Ahmed Bola Tinubu and Alhaji Kasim Shettima in Anambra this month. Already the 327 Electoral wards in Anambra state have concluded arrangements to receive the Presidential candidate of the party across the twenty one local government areas in the state. Pursuant to this event , the Tinubu/Shettima Campaign Council has commenced visit of the wards pulling all stops to ensure a hitch free Campaign. Consequent to this development,food  items worth over N149 million have so far been donated to members of the All Progressives Congress APC in Anambra state in support of the Presidential ambition of it's candidate Sen Ahmed Bola Tinubu and his running mate Alhaji Kasim Shitima .
