Iwuoba Leads 5,ooo PDP,APGA,LP Members To APC in Anambra.

Former Chairman of Labour Party and a Chieftain of the People's Democratic Party(PDP) in Anambra State, Chief Basil Iwuoba on Thursday defected to the All Progressives Congress (APC)in the state, saying that he was enticed by the party's progrssive ideology and President Ahmed Bola Tinubu's committment to the even development of the nation.

Iwuoba defected to the party along with over 5,ooo political associates from the rival PDP,APGA and L P in a ceremony at his Otuocha ward 2,in Anambra East Local Government Area of the state.

He said that their joining the party which he describe as the largest ruling party in Nigeria was for the interest of the people of Anambra East and the state in general.

Although he acknowledged being one of the founding members of PDP in the state, but that he decided with his associates to leave the party and pitch tent with the APC because it is more balance, stable and organized with a better progrssive ideology and gender equality than the PDP which he noted is riddled by crises and poor administrative structure.

Again, the President of Nigeria, Chief Ahmed Bola Tinubu's believe in human resource development which has impacted positively on Nigerians before now,as well as his humility,courage, believe in the principle of federal character in making appointments and his avowed committment to the development of the South East zone are the other reasons they embraced he said encouraged them embrace the APC.

Chief Iwuoba described himself as a progressive and team player Who loves  courageous fighters like President Tinubu who he also said was his leader in the defunct Action Congress of Nigeria a(ACN).

While receiving the decampees into the party, the State Chairman of APC, Chief Basil Ejidike said their joining would boost the party's standing and give it credibility in the state.

He assured them of a level playing ground and equal opportunities with old members of the party.

Ejidike who was represented by the state's Deputy Chairman of the party,Engr.Sam Oraegbunam said Iwuoba was not only a big fish in a big water,, but also a man of impeccable character and grassroots mobilizer who carries his followers along.

He enjoined the people of the South East zone to join the APC enmasse to enable them get the needed relevance in national politics.

Chief Obiora Muogbo from Awka who also defected with Iwuoba said the party in the state needed people of Iwuoba's calibre and experience in grassroots mobilization to be able to make it to the Agu Awka Government House in 2025.

  IPOB Suspends Sit At Home. The Indegeous People Of Biafra IPOB yesterday made a change of heart by suspending the proposed Sit At Home Order billed to commence on the fifth of November. Recall that the Director of Publicity for the body had earlier announced that it would commence a Sit At Home strike on the fifth of this month if it's leader Mazi Nnamd Kanu is not released unconditionally on the fourth of November.   Anambra Tribunal Strikes Out Maduka Petition. Four More May Withdraw. As Soludo , Uba Set To Inspect Materials . NKIRU NWAGBO. The Anambra governorship Election Petitions Tribunal sitting in Awka today stuck out the petition filed by the candidate of Accord party Dr Godwin Maduka. Similarly there indications that four more petitioners may withdraw their petitions against the victory if the All Progressives Grand Alliance APGA following alleged internal challenges that has to do with the discrepancies between the political parties and their respective candidates. Mercy Cynthia Mmesoma Obi, popularly known as Ada Jesus has died in an Abuja hospital of complications arising from kidney failure, few days after an encounter with Onitsha-based preacher, Chukwuemeka Ohanaemere, alias  Odumeje , inside his church. A video surfaced recently where the 27-year-old seriously sick young lady was taken to the pastor, to whom she went to seek forgiveness for her earlier comments, suggesting that his miracles were fake.
