Cleric Arrested for Defiling 12years Old girl in Anambra.


The Anambra state police command has arrested a Pastor for allegedly defiling a twelve years old girl in Awka.


The Pastor Mr Onyekwelu who is also a Lecturer at the Nnamdi Azikiwe University Awka was said to have been defiling the minor who had been living with him since Saturday last week.


The minor , name withheld,  from Ufuma in Orumba North  Local government areas of Anambra state, said that when she could not bear the pains of rape about 9:30pm on Wednesday jumped down from two storey building and broke her leg in the process.


Narrating her ordeal to  Hurricane New while receiving treatment at the Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University Teaching hospital in Awka, she said  "  On Saturday my mother sent me to one woman who later took me to the house of Rev Onyekwelu for me to be cooking and cleaning the house for him since his family is not around.


"On that same Saturday I came to his house after doing all the house chores, I went to bed, he came to me and I started forcing his penis inside my body and I started crying because it was paining me. I told him to leave me that my mother told me not to do such a thing but he continued forcing me and when I cried loud he started beating me.


"On Sunday he went to church alone and when he came back that night he started inserting his fingers inside my body, he also forced me to suck his penis and I refused and he started beating me again.


"The thing continued untill yeasterday being Wednesday when he was answering a phone call in the night I told him I want to go and ease myself , he allowed me to go and by that time he has locked up the doors so I opened the toilet window and jumped out from there and I broke my left leg. She added.


Also speaking to our Correspondent the mother of the girl Mrs Chinwe Okafor confirmed that she gave her child to a friend who told her she has a relation that needs a girl of that age  as house help.


She said that her friend told her that man's family are in Abuja and she would want her daughter to stay with the suspect as a house help.


Mrs Okafor while lamenting how her daughter ran to the  kitchen to sleep one of the nights to  run away from what she called torture noted that the suspect still went to the kitchen and brought her out and continue with the act.


According to her" when she jumped from the upstairs someone came out from the building and saw her  then he  started shouting and rushed her to the nearest hospital along the street called Climax Ifite Awka.


"Am pleading to the police to give us Justice in this matter. Had it been that my daughter used head to land on the floor nobody will know what happened, the man may even say that my daughter was possess by evil spirit" she added.


Confirming the report, the Police spokes person in the state DSP Ikenga Tochukwu  said the suspect is in their custody and investigation is ongoing.

    Na waaooo!!!! this is abomination. The said Pastor Lecturer should be made to face the law of rape and child abuse. He wanted underaged to destroy and he has been into this type of thing, now luck has ran against him. Foolish man he don't want to go and stay with His wife now that ASUU is on strike instead he chose to stay and be defilling minors let him face judgement.

  IPOB Suspends Sit At Home. The Indegeous People Of Biafra IPOB yesterday made a change of heart by suspending the proposed Sit At Home Order billed to commence on the fifth of November. The Anambra governorship Election Petitions Tribunal sitting in Awka today stuck out the petition filed by the candidate of Accord party Dr Godwin Maduka. Similarly there indications that four more petitioners may withdraw their petitions against the victory if the All Progressives Grand Alliance APGA following alleged internal challenges that has to do with the discrepancies between the political parties and their respective candidates. Mercy Cynthia Mmesoma Obi, popularly known as Ada Jesus has died in an Abuja hospital of complications arising from kidney failure, few days after an encounter with Onitsha-based preacher, Chukwuemeka Ohanaemere, alias  Odumeje , inside his church.
