Two Feared Dead As  Gunmen Attack Four Police Stations In Anambra.. 


It is being feared that two persons lost their lives when gunmen attacked four Police Stations in Anambra state today.


The Police Stations include, Amichi , Nnewichi , Osumoghu and Ezinifite in Nnewi North and South local government areas.


This is coming twenty four hours after the Police station in Ukpor Nnewi South local government area was burnt.


It is however not clear which of the Police stations that the two persons died but it was confirmed that the number of casualties is more than eighteen.


Anambra State Police command  Public Relations Officer DSP Toochukwu Ikenga confirmed the incident but could not confirm the number of deaths and casualties.


Ikenga said there was no casualty and that team of police  personnel had been drafted to the area to ensure calm.


According to him, the hoodlum did not only attack Nnewiechi police but also attacked osumoghu and Ezenifite police stations .


He said that the police state stations were under reconstruction , since they were among the stations  affected during EndSARS saga.

According to him, after the endsars saga all the police men in the state police stations  were moved to area command and there were no police men there.

"After the ends incident , the communities started reconstruction of those stations and they have not finished them . By the time of attack there were no policemen there. I wondered why somebody would attacked them " he said 


He said normalcy had been restored and urged residents in the area with useful information to make them available to police to enable the command deal with those responsible for the insecurity of the area.
