 Embrace Peace, Soludo Urges As He Attends Palm Sunday Mass at Awka


The Executive Governor of Anambra State, Prof Chukwuma Charles Soludo, has urged the people of God to embrace the teachings, love and peace that Jesus Christ signifies.


He disclosed this after the post Holy Communion at  St. Patrick's Cathedral Church, Catholic Diocese of Awka,  today, Sunday,  April 10, 2022.


The Governor while urging the people to cooperate with the government in it's efforts towards flushing out the criminals state, said that amnesty have being granted to them. 

He further said that his government is ready to rehabilitate and assist them to begin a new meaningful life.

Earlier, the occasion started with a Pontifical Holy Mass presided over by His Lordship, Most Rev Paulinus Ezeokafor, Catholic Bishop of Awka Diocese and concelebrated by many Priests.

In his homily, Bishop Ezeokafor noted that Christ's suffering and endurance are part of the grace that humanity enjoys today.

He also called on the people of Anambra State to support Governor Chukwuma Charles Soludo in his genuine efforts to rid the state of criminal elements.

 The Secretary to the State Government,  Prof Solo Chukwulobelu; Chief of Staff to the Governor, Mr Ernest Ezeajughi; Hon Chinedu Nwoye (Glamour), Deputy Chief of Staff/ Chief Protocol to the Governor; Engr Emeka Ezenwanne, former Commissioner of Public Utilities under Governor Willie Obiano's administration; Hon Chris Azubogu, Member Representing Nnewi North/Nnewi South and Ekwusigo Federal Constituency; Barrister Leo Chiegboka and other dignitaries attended the Mass.
