As Nigeria goes into the 2027 general elections, all political parties and their candidates are pulling all stops in a bid towards launching a come back to their respective elective positions .

In Awka North and South Federal Constituency, it has been a tale of accomplishment under the watch of the member representing the area Prof Hon Liliana Orogbu.

Coming from the academia , Orogbu appears to have been well tutored on the needs and challenges of the two Council Areas that she was heading to represent and against this backdrop she hit the ground running.

Orogbu took the issue of Community infrastructure as her first tine  charge through the

construction of Isiagu Police station, construction of Ogechuckwu street Awka, Ezinkwa - Mgbakwu road in Awka North local government area, Holy Family access road Amansea also in Awka North Council Area .

In a bid towards lighting up the rural areas,  Orogbu installed solar street  lights at strategic areas across Awka North and South Council Areas and donated a 500kV transformer at Isuanocha in Awka North.

At Ugbenu , the lawmaker took up the construction of it's Town Hall in the area  with security gates , built generator house and sank solar boreholes while at Ebenebe and Isiagu towns,  boreholes were sank as well as installation of MTN 5G mast at Ugbene and Awba - Ofemilia all in Awka North local government area.

Coming from the academic community, Orogbu found education as indeed a liberator hence she took on the educational sector headlong.

Orogbu embarked on the construction of six classroom blocks in 10 primary and secondary schools across the two Council Areas and also distributed instructional materials to schools in the area.

She paid fees for 170 indigent students for the 2024 University Matriculation Examination and awarded and enrolled 34 top -: performing students from each ward into her scholarship scheme.

Currently she is reconstructing and furnishing of the Administrative Block at Union Secondary School Amawbia .

It is not in doubt that agriculture remains one of the main stay of economy in any given society and consequently that sector has received great attention under the watch of Hon Liliana Orogbu.

She made bold this move by the distribution of fertilizers to farmers in Awka North and South local government area which also forms part of her Human Capacity Development and Empowerment Scheme .

To this end , Orogbu provided financial assistance to 400 widows at 50,000.00 each across the Federal Constituency while 200 widows got grinding machines.

Despite providing funds , she also took time to invest on vocational skills and self employment programs by training and distributing laptops to 100 youths to enhance their ICT skills  and also secured employment opportunities for youths in various Federal institutions .

As part of Orogbu programs in community outreach , over 800 bags of rice were distributed to the 34 wards in the Constituency.

She also sponsored free fuel for commercial drivers in the area aimed at cushioning the effects of hike in fuel prices .

She facilitated the enrollment of elderly citizens into the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS) aimed at improving healthcare delivery.

Also pretty traders who were displaced from their business concerns got between N50,000.00 and N100,000.00 for them to start small scale off businesses .

Apparently there is no gain saying the fact that the four years of representation of Awka North and South Federal Constituency under the stewardship of Hon Lilian Orogbu has been not only eventful and impactful hence the clamour for her re-election come 2027 general elections.
