Enugwu-Agidi PG elections: Anambra state govt. assures of transparency in conduct

...as PG Ebuka Onunkwo reels out scorecard that merits re-election

In the light of the forthcoming Enugwu-Agidi President General election scheduled to hold December 29, 2025, the Anambra State Commissioner of Local Government and Chieftaincy Matters, Hon. Tony Collins Nwabunwanne has again written to the people of Enugwu-Agidi assuring them that the Soludo Government is leaving no stone unturned to ensure that the scheduled PG elections holds under the fairest conditions.

In the letter dated, December 23, 2025,  Hon. Nwabunwanne stated that he will be physically present on the D day, while outlining those who will serve as the returning officers.

In the same vein, the PG of Enugwu-Agidi, Hon. Ebuka Onuorah has reeled out his score card in the 3 years he served as PG.

From installing CCTV cameras at strategic places in the community, to placing some indigent members of the community on stipends. From empowering the youths with tech skills and federal jobs to building bridges and roads, the PG has really set quite a standard yet to be equalled by any PG in Anambra State.

It will be recalled that opinion polls conducted earlier in the month by an independent NGO, Fact Reporters Network among members of Enugwu-Agidi community shows that over 85 percent of respondents said they are happy with the performance of Ebuka Onuorah as their PG and that they will re-elect him. While the remaining 10 percent said they are indifferent and would not participate in the election.
