Enugwu-Agidi Youths Commend PG's  Compulsory Skill Acquisition Initiative.

The Enugwu-Agidi Youths Organization has commended  the President General of Enugwu-Agidi, Hon. Ebuka Onuorah, for his groundbreaking declaration of a state of emergency on compulsory youth skills acquisition.


The youths Organization made this commendations in an open letter to Honorable Commissioner for Local Government, Chieftaincy and Community Affairs, Chief Collins Nwabunne, the letter, dated October 13, 2025, Signed by Comrade Simon Okafor (Chairman) and Comrade Peace Okafor (Secretary)


While  describing the skill acquisition as a transformative investment in the community’s future, they highlighted Onuorah’s mandatory training program in vocational trades such as Tech, Mechanics, Carpentry, Furniture Making, Tailoring, Soap Making, and Catering.


The youths observed that skill acquisition is  a direct and effective response to unemployment and youth idleness which according to them the main cause of social vices in the society.


According to the Youths leadership,“By equipping our young people with marketable, tangible skills, we are giving them the tools for sustainable independence and a dignified future,” 

 

While praising Onuorah’s leadership as a replication of Governor Chukwuma Soludo’s “One Youth, Two Skills” vision, the youths noted that there is  a drastic reduction in youth restiveness and social vices in the community.


The letter contrasts Enugwu-Agidi’s progress with neighboring towns still grappling with youth-related challenges, emphasizing that “where despair once brewed, we now see the dignity of labor, the excitement of learning, and the pride of entrepreneurship.”


The youths called Onuorah’s policy “a compassionate and generational sacrifice”, urging the state government and community stakeholders to commend, support, and stand with him rather than criticize his bold approach.


“Hon. Ebuka Onuorah didn’t just talk about youth empowerment; he legislated it into existence,” the letter declared.


The initiative has reportedly turned local youths into creators, builders, and innovators, injecting new economic energy into Enugwu-Agidi.


With hashtags #EnugwuAgidiSkills, #YouthEmpowerment, and #EbukaOnuorah, the letter has sparked widespread praise on social media, positioning Onuorah as a model of proactive grassroots leadership in Anambra State.


The Enugwu-Agidi Youths Organization has called on the Anambra State Government to recognize and amplify this homegrown success story as a blueprint for youth development across the state.

  IPOB Suspends Sit At Home. The Indegeous People Of Biafra IPOB yesterday made a change of heart by suspending the proposed Sit At Home Order billed to commence on the fifth of November. Recall that the Director of Publicity for the body had earlier announced that it would commence a Sit At Home strike on the fifth of this month if it's leader Mazi Nnamd Kanu is not released unconditionally on the fourth of November.   Anambra Tribunal Strikes Out Maduka Petition. Four More May Withdraw. As Soludo , Uba Set To Inspect Materials . NKIRU NWAGBO. The Anambra governorship Election Petitions Tribunal sitting in Awka today stuck out the petition filed by the candidate of Accord party Dr Godwin Maduka. Similarly there indications that four more petitioners may withdraw their petitions against the victory if the All Progressives Grand Alliance APGA following alleged internal challenges that has to do with the discrepancies between the political parties and their respective candidates.
