Ekwunife decries vote buying by APGA

All Progressives Congress, APC deputy Governorship Candidate, Senator Uche Ekwunife has alleged massive vote buying across the state by the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA in the ongoing governorship election in Anambra State.


Speaking shortly after voting at her polling unit at 001, Nri, Anaocha Local Government Area of Anambra, Senator Ekwunife expressed sadness that despite the warning against vote buying, APGA candidate, Prof Chukwuma Soludo allegedly deployed N5m to each polling unit for the purpose of vote buying.


Ekwunife who voted at Nri by 11.34am lamented that electorate across the state were being coerced through monitary inducement to vote against their conscience.


She however described the massive turnout of voters as a clear sign that Anambra electorate are desirous of changing the bad government in the state and expressed optimism that APC would win the election.

  IPOB Suspends Sit At Home. The Indegeous People Of Biafra IPOB yesterday made a change of heart by suspending the proposed Sit At Home Order billed to commence on the fifth of November. Recall that the Director of Publicity for the body had earlier announced that it would commence a Sit At Home strike on the fifth of this month if it's leader Mazi Nnamd Kanu is not released unconditionally on the fourth of November. According to the statement signed by its Director of Publicity Comerade Emma Powerful the body said that it has to call off the Sit At Home Order following the appeal by the elders in the South East coupled with the grave economic implications of the strike on the people.   Anambra Tribunal Strikes Out Maduka Petition. Four More May Withdraw. As Soludo , Uba Set To Inspect Materials . NKIRU NWAGBO. The Anambra governorship Election Petitions Tribunal sitting in Awka today stuck out the petition filed by the candidate of Accord party Dr Godwin Maduka. Similarly there indications that four more petitioners may withdraw their petitions against the victory if the All Progressives Grand Alliance APGA following alleged internal challenges that has to do with the discrepancies between the political parties and their respective candidates.
