Anambra election: INEC extends PVC collection

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) have extended the collection of the permanent Voter's Card to 2nd November, 2025.


Recall that INEC fixed Sunday, 26th, 2025 as the end date for the collection of the PVC. 


Meanwhie, in a statement signed and made available by the Director, Voter Education and Publicity, Mrs Victoria Etta-Messi, on 27th October, said "The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) have approved the extension of the ongoing collection of Permanent Voter's Card (PVC), in Anambra". 


"The decision was reached at a meeting of the commssion held on monday 27th, October, 2025, following several appeal from citizens and stakeholders requesting additional time to enable eligible voters collec their cards"


The exercise which was earlier scheduled to end on Sunday 26th October has been extended from Wednesday, 29th Oct, to Sunday 2nd November, 2025. It covers persons who registered during the recent continous voter registration (CVR) exercise in the state".


The statement futher stated that "Registered voters who are yet to collect their PVCs are encouraged to take advantage of the extended window to do so at the designated collection centres across the 326 registered areas (wards) in Anambra state".


"The commssion once again reiterates that PVCA collection is strictly in person, as no collection by proxy is allowed"


INEC, therefore urge those who have collected to be ready to participate in the forthcoming coming Anambra Gubernatorial election.
