Ezenwafor Donates 9 Bungalows to  9 Homeless Widows in Ekwulobia

When the righteous is on throne, the people rejoice. This was the case and  moments of joy for nine widows from nine villages in Ekwulobia, Aguata Local Government Area as Afamation Movement led by Hon Afamefuna Ezenwafor handed over keys of nine bungalows to them on Wednesday 3rd September 2025.


The beneficiaries who could not hold their tears, dance and appreciation were 


Mrs Tochukwu Iloh-Agba Village, Mrs Ezekonkwo Chikaodili-Nkono Village, Mrs Lovina Ezeokeke-Ula Village, Mrs Fracisca Eberechukwu Ezeokeke-Okpo Village, Mrs Regina Ezeokeke- Ihuokpala Village, Mrs Leticia Ezenwosu-Umuchi Village, Mrs. Onwumelu Ijeoma from Abogwume village, Fidelia Chukwuemeka Okeke from Eziagulu village and Mrs Chika Chukwuneke Nwosu from Umuchiana Village.


Addressing newsmen, shortly after the event, the National Leader of Afamation Movement who was a ADC Governorship aspirant and later Governor Candidate of NRM, Hon Afamefuna Ezenwafor expressed happiness to God for providing the funds the intellects and the aspirations to shelter the homeless. 


He pointed out that humans are the living God which we see each day and the only way to appreciate him is through practical Christianity.


Hon Ezenwafor informed the gathering that he never knew any of the beneficiaries, but he was moved by showing the spirit of love which God showed to humanity through Jesus Christ who sacrificed his life for the sake of mankind. He added the target is to build 50 houses for the less privileged and widows within ten years which already 10 have been successfully built and handed over to nine widows from nine different villages in Ekwulobia. 


Appreciating his younger brother, Nze Osita Ezenwafor (Ositadimma Care Foundation) for his sponsorship to se that these widows are sheltered, he prayed for his continued blessing.


Hon Ezenwafor however called on other philanthropists in Anambra and beyond to emulate this kind gestures adding that the movement was not politically motivated but to give back to the society and God who have been the author and finisher of our faith.

In his remark, Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Anambra state - Hon Tony Collins Nwabunwanne noted that Afamation's act of charity is embedded with the Private public partnerships which Mr Governor is advocating for. 

Hon Nwabunwanne however appreciated Ezenwafor for finding it worthy to build these edifice for the widows while calling other well meaning individuals tovtake a clue and move to the right direction rather than living in rancor with one another.


Also speaking, the candidate of the African Democratic Congress party ( ADC) in the last just concluded Anambra South Bye-Election, Chief Dr Donald Amamgbo (Okosisi Ihiala), thanked Hon Ezenwafor for such charity gesture which he maintained was commendable and worthy of emulation. He noted that this is the only movement that have stand out from being politically motivated but looks at improving the livelihood of the downtrodden in the society.


Dr Chidi Amamgbo who is a member of Afamation Movement was so excited with the Afamation charity work that he gave ₦1,000,000 (₦500,000 each) to two lucky widows among the 9 beneficiary widows.


Appreciating the foundations, Mrs Tochukwu Iloh, Mrs Chika Chukwuneke Nwosu, Mrs Fidelia Chukwuemeka Okeke, Mrs Leticia Ezenwosu  Mrs Regina Ezeokeke who spoke to our Correspondent showered magnitudes of prayers, blessings and thanksgiving with kola presentations, drinks and foods in abundance.


Meanwhile, dignitaries present were Anambra state the Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Hon Collins Nwabunwanne, and his counterpart, Commissioner for Women Affairs, Hon Mrs Ify Obinabo, former member Anambra state House of Assembly (Aguata 2 constituency), Rt Hon Ikem Uzoezie (Ikeoha Aguata), Aguata Deputy Local Government Mayor, Hon Kingsley Ezeagu, President General of Ekwulobia Town Union, Nze Abubuike Ezechukwu (Uzommiri Ebetehete), his first vice, Elder Frank Timothy, Religious leaders, Community leaders and others too numerous to mention.
