We Support Operation Udo Ga Chi, Let Them Continue The Good Works - ASATU Youths Declare .

Hundreds of youths from the 179 communities in Anambra led by His Youthfulness, Comrade Ken Okoli 

President General Anambra State Town Union Council during the weekend took to the street of Awka, showing solidarity to the State government and equally calling for more support to Ugo Ga Chi security outfit of the Agunechemba. 


Our reporter who monitored the peaceful rally reports that the youths also condemned the unacceptable act of the state Homeland (Agunechemba) towards the youth corp member in the state, but started categorically that opposition using this avenue to call for the security agency to be disbanded total is just making a joke, as the security outfit has been a vital tool in reducing crimes in recent times.


According to him, Anambra youth would not support any move to disband the operatives as it could geopardise the State security as well as empower some politicians from the opposition to scuttle or rig the November 8 governorship poll in the name of insecurity.


Comrade Okoli went further, to pleaded with the opposition that security is so vital to play politics with as it involves lifes and properties of the people of the state and had been a paramount agenda of the government of Anambra State.

‎The Asatu youths marched in solidarity to the government house, was received by the Chief of Staff to the Governor, Mr Ernest Ezeajughi.

‎Mr Ezeajughi however, thanked the Asatu youths for their solidarity support shown towards the state government and made it clear that the Governor was not happy on the act carried out by personnel of the homeland security outfit on the NYSC member. Adding that they have been handed over to the police to and in no time will face the consequences of the law.

Ezeajughi pleaded with the youths of Anambra State to be vigilant as we approach the elections, as the opposition will do anything possible to rig the election. "You have to protect your votes and ensure no one manipulates the your polling unit. I see the zeal and energy you all are giving out for this government and I assure you all that we will not disappoint you".

  IPOB Suspends Sit At Home. The Indegeous People Of Biafra IPOB yesterday made a change of heart by suspending the proposed Sit At Home Order billed to commence on the fifth of November. Recall that the Director of Publicity for the body had earlier announced that it would commence a Sit At Home strike on the fifth of this month if it's leader Mazi Nnamd Kanu is not released unconditionally on the fourth of November. The Anambra governorship Election Petitions Tribunal sitting in Awka today stuck out the petition filed by the candidate of Accord party Dr Godwin Maduka. Similarly there indications that four more petitioners may withdraw their petitions against the victory if the All Progressives Grand Alliance APGA following alleged internal challenges that has to do with the discrepancies between the political parties and their respective candidates.
