UNIZik VC Debunks Allegations Over Professorship.

Vice Chancellor of Nnamdi Azikiwe University Awka Prof Benard Odoh has described reports of not being a Professor as false, insisting that he was made Professor before contesting for the position.

Odoh further stated that all other allegations against him were not only false but unfounded urging the public to disregard  them.

At a press briefing held in Awka, Anambra State, yesterday  the Personal Assistant for Media and Publicity to the Vice Chancellor, Mr. Charles Otu, emphasized that; 

"The race for the seventh substantive Vice Chancellor was concluded on October 29, 2024, with Prof. Odoh emerging on top with 90 points.

" A National Industrial Court in Awka validated the Governing Council's scoring templates, and the Ambassador Greg Mbadiwe-led Governing Council ensured fair hearing, responding to the Medical and Dental Council Association of Nigeria's concerns.

"Prof. Odoh boasts an impressive academic background, having obtained his Bachelor of Science in Geological Sciences in 1999, Master of Science in Applied Geophysics, and Doctorate in Applied Geophysics from NAU in 2008.

" He also served as a visiting Professor of Geophysics at Federal University Gusau in 2014 and became a full Professor of Applied Geophysics in 2015," Otu said

Otu urged the media to cross-check facts before publishing, describing  Prof. Odoh as a pragmatically ambitious individual who prioritizes the public's best interest.

  IPOB Suspends Sit At Home. The Indegeous People Of Biafra IPOB yesterday made a change of heart by suspending the proposed Sit At Home Order billed to commence on the fifth of November. Recall that the Director of Publicity for the body had earlier announced that it would commence a Sit At Home strike on the fifth of this month if it's leader Mazi Nnamd Kanu is not released unconditionally on the fourth of November. According to the statement signed by its Director of Publicity Comerade Emma Powerful the body said that it has to call off the Sit At Home Order following the appeal by the elders in the South East coupled with the grave economic implications of the strike on the people.   Anambra Tribunal Strikes Out Maduka Petition. Four More May Withdraw. As Soludo , Uba Set To Inspect Materials . NKIRU NWAGBO. The Anambra governorship Election Petitions Tribunal sitting in Awka today stuck out the petition filed by the candidate of Accord party Dr Godwin Maduka. Similarly there indications that four more petitioners may withdraw their petitions against the victory if the All Progressives Grand Alliance APGA following alleged internal challenges that has to do with the discrepancies between the political parties and their respective candidates. Mercy Cynthia Mmesoma Obi, popularly known as Ada Jesus has died in an Abuja hospital of complications arising from kidney failure, few days after an encounter with Onitsha-based preacher, Chukwuemeka Ohanaemere, alias  Odumeje , inside his church. A video surfaced recently where the 27-year-old seriously sick young lady was taken to the pastor, to whom she went to seek forgiveness for her earlier comments, suggesting that his miracles were fake.
