ADINUBA RECEIVES ANA AWARD

The immediate past Commissioner for Information in Anambra State, Mr C.Don Adinuba, has joined the league of literary icons as he was yesterday bestowed with the prestigious Association of Nigeria Authors (ANA) Fellowship Award. 



Literary giants such as the founding president of the association, Professor Chinua Achebe, the Nobel Leaurate Prof. Wole Soyinka, Ken Saro-Wiwa,  Elechi Amadi, Kola Omotosho, etc, were previous award winners. 



The event took place at the Mamman Vatsa Writers Village, Mpape, Abuja. Speaking at the ceremony, the President of ANA, Calistus Uka, explained that the award was in recognition of the sterling literary accomplishments of the awardees. 



Adinuba was accompanied to receive the award by Ichie Ody Chukwube. In response to receiving the award, Adinuba paid glowing tribute to the exemplary role of writers in nation building. He advised the leadership to sustain the lofty heights and enviable standards which the association's founding fathers attained all through the years.
