Love and Understanding, best recipe for successful marriage...Soludo.



Governor of Anambra State, Prof Chukwuma  Soludo, has advocated that love and understanding remains the recipe for a successful marriage.

Governor Soludo was speaking during the thanksgiving mass celebrated by the Catholic Bishop of Ekwulibia Diocese, Cardinal  Peter Okpalaeke to mark the governor's thirtieth wedding anniversary ceremony.





During the mass, the couple renewed their marital vows to each other and exchanged rings.

Governor Soludo in his speech said he will marry his wife over and over again and described her as God's gift and exhibition of love to him.




In his words, "this celebration has become an annual routine for the family to celebrate God's abundant grace and mercies"

"I know you all have very busy schedules. I know it's been immense sacrifice on your part to join us for which we deeply appreciate", 




"The day I got married was the day I realized that God loves me. I deeply treasure my wife and my wonderful children", the Governor added.

Earlier in a homily, the bishop of Ekwulobia Catholic diocese, 
Peter Cardinal Okpalaeke asked Christians to be followers of Christ at all times.

According to the Cardinal,  "God has given us opportunities to lead the people. But you must win the confidence of people to follow you.




"We should always have the right intentions and at the same time be more concerned about God's opinion about us.

"We need strength to ignore small criticisms. Share your treasure with others and do not be distracted.



"We need to give example which involves living coherently with the love God had given to us", the Cardinal stressed.

Cardinal Okpalaeke asked the Governor to always work according to his conscience, even though many people will present him with different strategies.

  IPOB Suspends Sit At Home. The Indegeous People Of Biafra IPOB yesterday made a change of heart by suspending the proposed Sit At Home Order billed to commence on the fifth of November. Recall that the Director of Publicity for the body had earlier announced that it would commence a Sit At Home strike on the fifth of this month if it's leader Mazi Nnamd Kanu is not released unconditionally on the fourth of November.   Anambra Tribunal Strikes Out Maduka Petition. Four More May Withdraw. As Soludo , Uba Set To Inspect Materials . NKIRU NWAGBO. The Anambra governorship Election Petitions Tribunal sitting in Awka today stuck out the petition filed by the candidate of Accord party Dr Godwin Maduka. Similarly there indications that four more petitioners may withdraw their petitions against the victory if the All Progressives Grand Alliance APGA following alleged internal challenges that has to do with the discrepancies between the political parties and their respective candidates. Mercy Cynthia Mmesoma Obi, popularly known as Ada Jesus has died in an Abuja hospital of complications arising from kidney failure, few days after an encounter with Onitsha-based preacher, Chukwuemeka Ohanaemere, alias  Odumeje , inside his church. A video surfaced recently where the 27-year-old seriously sick young lady was taken to the pastor, to whom she went to seek forgiveness for her earlier comments, suggesting that his miracles were fake.
