Anambra Deputy Speaker"s House / PG Burnt Down.




Hoodlums yesterday burnt down the country home of Anambra Deputy Speaker Dr Paschal Agbodike at Mbosi alongside with the home of the President General Osumoghu Community in Ihiala local government area of Anambra state.


According to the President General of Osumoghu Community Ichie Chuks Muomaife who is also the Chairman Association of President Generals in Anambra South Senatorial District.


"This gunmen burnt down my two buildings in the village destroying my property and at Mbosi also they went and burnt down the the home of our Deputy Speaker Dr Paschal Agbodike"


Muomaife who was speaking at the Town Hall meeting organized by the Independent National Electoral Commission INEC for President Generals and Traditional Rulers of Anambra South Senatorial District noted that the incident is a threat to the 2023 general elections I'd it is not checked.


"We are talking about the next year's election and it is important to look at the security situations in Anambra South Senatorial District and fashion out ways of containing the problem"


"The hoodlums or the gunmen burnt down my two buildings at Osumoghu and went further to burn down the house of our Deputy Speaker Dr Paschal Agbodike "


"The funny thing here is those that did it are not outsiders but youths from our community and I mean little children and village urchins and they have parents and if you arrest them their parents would come to beg but they will never call them to order "he said.


Also confirming the incident one of the Personal Assistant to the Deputy Speaker who would not want his name mentioned told reporters that; 


"They came to the compound and were firing gun shots in the air and got to the two buildings the Deputy Speaker built before going into politics  and also his Father's house and set it ablaze and we had to run for our lives "


"They spent about two hours causing mayhem and attacking people and they boasted that the community vigilante groups or the police cannot engage them because they are ready to take on them"


"The Deputy Speaker was not at home when it happened and no life was lost but this is a danger signal before the election and though we don't have anyone that we are suspecting but we politics in that incident" he said.

A total of 17 Buildings have so far been marked for demolition in Uli Community in Ihiala local government area of Anambra state. Similarly a heavy  deployment of officers and men of the Police and the Army have been made to commence day and night strikes in the four villages that make up the community in order to restore peace and security in the area.   IPOB Suspends Sit At Home. The Indegeous People Of Biafra IPOB yesterday made a change of heart by suspending the proposed Sit At Home Order billed to commence on the fifth of November. Recall that the Director of Publicity for the body had earlier announced that it would commence a Sit At Home strike on the fifth of this month if it's leader Mazi Nnamd Kanu is not released unconditionally on the fourth of November.   Anambra Tribunal Strikes Out Maduka Petition. Four More May Withdraw. As Soludo , Uba Set To Inspect Materials . NKIRU NWAGBO. The Anambra governorship Election Petitions Tribunal sitting in Awka today stuck out the petition filed by the candidate of Accord party Dr Godwin Maduka. Similarly there indications that four more petitioners may withdraw their petitions against the victory if the All Progressives Grand Alliance APGA following alleged internal challenges that has to do with the discrepancies between the political parties and their respective candidates. Mercy Cynthia Mmesoma Obi, popularly known as Ada Jesus has died in an Abuja hospital of complications arising from kidney failure, few days after an encounter with Onitsha-based preacher, Chukwuemeka Ohanaemere, alias  Odumeje , inside his church. A video surfaced recently where the 27-year-old seriously sick young lady was taken to the pastor, to whom she went to seek forgiveness for her earlier comments, suggesting that his miracles were fake.
