Anambra CP Expresses Commitment Towards Enhancement of Safety.

The Commissioner of police Anambra State Command Echeng Echeng has expressed his commitment towards enhancing peace and safety in the State.

The CP gave this hint  while receiving a building donated by a public- spirited  Anambra man to the command .




The building is for purpose of police station base at Nkwelle Ezunaka in Oyi Local government area of the state.

Speaking on behalf of the CP, the Deputy Commissioner of Police in-charge of Operations in the  command, DCP Aderemi Adeoye, described the edifice as a step in the right direction .

Aderemi who represented CP during the occasion said the donation of building is a progressive endeavor to enhance the safety for the residents especially nearby areas, like  Anambra International  Passenger and Cargo Airport, expressway, tollgate, abattoir among others. 



The CP further described the goodwill as timely adding that it will assist the Command immensely in the effective policing especially as it concerns quick response to distress calls in the area.



In an interview with the donor, Chief Austin Oguejifor, the Executive director of Rotech Energy Service Limited said the gesture was to compliment and  support the Command in it's fight against insecurity.

A total of 17 Buildings have so far been marked for demolition in Uli Community in Ihiala local government area of Anambra state. Similarly a heavy  deployment of officers and men of the Police and the Army have been made to commence day and night strikes in the four villages that make up the community in order to restore peace and security in the area.   IPOB Suspends Sit At Home. The Indegeous People Of Biafra IPOB yesterday made a change of heart by suspending the proposed Sit At Home Order billed to commence on the fifth of November. Recall that the Director of Publicity for the body had earlier announced that it would commence a Sit At Home strike on the fifth of this month if it's leader Mazi Nnamd Kanu is not released unconditionally on the fourth of November. According to the statement signed by its Director of Publicity Comerade Emma Powerful the body said that it has to call off the Sit At Home Order following the appeal by the elders in the South East coupled with the grave economic implications of the strike on the people.   Anambra Tribunal Strikes Out Maduka Petition. Four More May Withdraw. As Soludo , Uba Set To Inspect Materials . NKIRU NWAGBO. The Anambra governorship Election Petitions Tribunal sitting in Awka today stuck out the petition filed by the candidate of Accord party Dr Godwin Maduka. Similarly there indications that four more petitioners may withdraw their petitions against the victory if the All Progressives Grand Alliance APGA following alleged internal challenges that has to do with the discrepancies between the political parties and their respective candidates.   Ada Jesus dies at 27 in Abuja hospital days after an encounter with Odumeje. Mercy Cynthia Mmesoma Obi, popularly known as Ada Jesus has died in an Abuja hospital of complications arising from kidney failure, few days after an encounter with Onitsha-based preacher, Chukwuemeka Ohanaemere, alias  Odumeje , inside his church. A video surfaced recently where the 27-year-old seriously sick young lady was taken to the pastor, to whom she went to seek forgiveness for her earlier comments, suggesting that his miracles were fake.
