Police Arrest a Man for Allegedly Killing Three Years Old Baby in Anambra.


 Anambra State Police Operatives have arrested a 34 years old man, Mr Onwele Anayo for allegedly killing a three years old child Divine Eze by name.

Anambra State Police Public Relations Officer DSP Tochukwu Ikenga who disclosed this in a statement said the incident happened at Hillview Estate, Nkwelle -Ezunaka, near Onitsha.

According to Ikenga : “Today 16/6/2022 police operatives arrested one Mr Onwele Anayo ‘M’ aged 34years on the murder of Divine Eze ‘M’ aged 3years.

“Preliminary information shows that the suspect visited the father of the victim yesterday 15/6/2022 and spent the night in the victim’s house. In the early hours of today 16/6/2022, an argument ensued between the father and the suspect.

“The suspect (Mr Anayo) took the child (Divine) as he was sleeping and killed him, by hitting him on the floor severally. Mr Anayo, carried a knife from the room, pursue the father around the house, threatening to kill him.”

The PPRO  added that police operatives have visited the scene and recovered the body of the child and investigation has commenced.

He said the culprit has been arrested,  and that further development will be communicated to the media after full investigation.

  IPOB Suspends Sit At Home. The Indegeous People Of Biafra IPOB yesterday made a change of heart by suspending the proposed Sit At Home Order billed to commence on the fifth of November. Recall that the Director of Publicity for the body had earlier announced that it would commence a Sit At Home strike on the fifth of this month if it's leader Mazi Nnamd Kanu is not released unconditionally on the fourth of November.   Anambra Tribunal Strikes Out Maduka Petition. Four More May Withdraw. As Soludo , Uba Set To Inspect Materials . NKIRU NWAGBO. The Anambra governorship Election Petitions Tribunal sitting in Awka today stuck out the petition filed by the candidate of Accord party Dr Godwin Maduka. Similarly there indications that four more petitioners may withdraw their petitions against the victory if the All Progressives Grand Alliance APGA following alleged internal challenges that has to do with the discrepancies between the political parties and their respective candidates. Mercy Cynthia Mmesoma Obi, popularly known as Ada Jesus has died in an Abuja hospital of complications arising from kidney failure, few days after an encounter with Onitsha-based preacher, Chukwuemeka Ohanaemere, alias  Odumeje , inside his church.
