100 Days in Office: Anambra Speaker Lauds Soludo on Development

The Anambra State House of Assembly has described the first one hundred days in office of Governor Chukwuma Soludo as eventful.

In his Congratulatory Message to Governor Soludo on behalf of the State lawmakers, the Speaker,Rt.Hon.Uche Okafor noted that the Governor has demonstrated in practical terms his genuine desire to provide Ndi Anambra with good governance in all sectors of the state economy.

Rt.Hon.Okafor recounted some of the strides of Governor Soludo so far to include massive environmental sanitation, employment, road infrastructure especially the ongoing Awka-Amansea-Ugwuoba road construction as well as his promise to complete by December this year, one of the most strategic roads in the state, the Ufuma-Awa-Ndiukwuenu-Amansea road in addition to increasing the Community Choose Your Project Fund from twenty million naira to twenty five million naira among others.

The Speaker extolled the cordial working relationship existing between the state lawmakers and the Governor which he said has helped in uplifting the living condition of the citizenry and the overall development of the state.

He enjoined Ndi Anambra especially politicians to desist from acts capable of retarding the pace of development in the state but to join hands with Governor Soludo in moving the state to greater heights.

Okafor prayed God to continue to give Governor Soludo the wisdom, strength and the grace to be able to accomplish his lofty agenda for the total transformation of the state and well-being of the citizenry.

A total of 17 Buildings have so far been marked for demolition in Uli Community in Ihiala local government area of Anambra state. Similarly a heavy  deployment of officers and men of the Police and the Army have been made to commence day and night strikes in the four villages that make up the community in order to restore peace and security in the area.   IPOB Suspends Sit At Home. The Indegeous People Of Biafra IPOB yesterday made a change of heart by suspending the proposed Sit At Home Order billed to commence on the fifth of November. Recall that the Director of Publicity for the body had earlier announced that it would commence a Sit At Home strike on the fifth of this month if it's leader Mazi Nnamd Kanu is not released unconditionally on the fourth of November. According to the statement signed by its Director of Publicity Comerade Emma Powerful the body said that it has to call off the Sit At Home Order following the appeal by the elders in the South East coupled with the grave economic implications of the strike on the people.   Anambra Tribunal Strikes Out Maduka Petition. Four More May Withdraw. As Soludo , Uba Set To Inspect Materials . NKIRU NWAGBO. The Anambra governorship Election Petitions Tribunal sitting in Awka today stuck out the petition filed by the candidate of Accord party Dr Godwin Maduka. Similarly there indications that four more petitioners may withdraw their petitions against the victory if the All Progressives Grand Alliance APGA following alleged internal challenges that has to do with the discrepancies between the political parties and their respective candidates. Mercy Cynthia Mmesoma Obi, popularly known as Ada Jesus has died in an Abuja hospital of complications arising from kidney failure, few days after an encounter with Onitsha-based preacher, Chukwuemeka Ohanaemere, alias  Odumeje , inside his church. A video surfaced recently where the 27-year-old seriously sick young lady was taken to the pastor, to whom she went to seek forgiveness for her earlier comments, suggesting that his miracles were fake.
