Woman striped naked, assaulted for allegedly killing husband with sex.

A lady who could have been a victim of the action of an angry mob has been rescued by the operatives of Anambra State Police Command.

In a video trending online, the lady was accused of causing the death of her husband by giving him an overdose sex.

In the video seen by our correspondent, the victim was lying lifeless while the lady was stripped naked and all manner of abuses are  rained on her.

The members of Aguleri community in Anambra East local government of the state said she killed her husband with overdose of sex and accused her of so many unprintable things.

However, the police said that one suspect has been arrested in relation to the inhuman treatment of the lady and they’re studying the video with the aim of identifying more suspects and bringing them to book.

The statement issued by the police spokes person Tochukwu Ikenga DSP stated “The Anambra State Police Operatives have today, 12/3/2022 at about 12:07pm rescued a female victim from an angry mob in Aguleri.

“The rescue, was as a result of a report from a trending video where a lady was publicly molested and assaulted on an alleged incident of causing the death of her late husband.

“The Commissioner of Police CP Echeng Echeng while describing the act as barbaric, states that one suspect is already in custody and ordered immediate study of the video with the aim to identify the suspects, arrest and bring them to book.

“Further information reveals that the deceased had already been buried before the video started trending. The victim was rescued and she is currently receiving medical care in the hospital" the statement added.

Also the Ultimate Business women and farmers Association of Nigeria has call on the Federation of Women Lawyers to take up this matter and rise to defend and protect the right of this embattled woman.

The National President of the Association Hon. Nkiru Nwagbo expressed appreciation to the Anmbra state police command for the arrest made so far and urged the it not to relent in bringing the culprits to book.

"It is also our prayers that the Traditional Ruler of Aguleri community, the Town Union executive should take measures at ensuring the protection of the lives and rights of women in the town.

"We the members of this organization would stop at nothing to pursue this matter to its logical conclusion" Nwagbo noted.
