Soludo Names 80 Man Transition Committee.

Less than two months to his swearing in to office Anambra state governor elect Prof Charles Soludo yesterday announced an eighty man Transition Committee for a smooth hand over from Gov Wille Obiano .


Among those that made the list include Prof Oby Ezekwesili as chairman, Pat Utomi , Osita Chidoka , Hon Charles Odedo , Hon Ben Nwankwo .


Others include the Director General Valentine Ozigbo Campaign Organisation Dr Alex Obiogbolu who recently resigned as a member of the People's Democratic Party PDP, former National President of the Nigerian Bar Association NBA Olisa Agbakuba SAN , son of former Anambra state governor Mr Echezona Etiaba SAN.


Others that made the list are leaders of over thirty members of the the Soludo Support Groups former members of the National Assembly, as well as the Speaker Anambra state House of Assembly Rt Hon Uche Nwafor .


Meanwhile Isuiofia country home of Soludo has remained a bee hive with countless men and women frequenting the area for one political appointment or the other.


However Gov Willie Obiano is said to be out of town and is expected to return next week while the International Conference Center Awka built by the out going governor is receiving finishing touches as venue for the swearing in ceremony.


According to a statement by the Media Assistants to Soludo Mr Nwabufo Nwankwo and Jeo Anatune, a date for inauguration and first plenary would be between January 19th to 22nd January and members are expected to be at the Golden Tulib Hotel Agulu lake.

A total of 17 Buildings have so far been marked for demolition in Uli Community in Ihiala local government area of Anambra state. Similarly a heavy  deployment of officers and men of the Police and the Army have been made to commence day and night strikes in the four villages that make up the community in order to restore peace and security in the area.   IPOB Suspends Sit At Home. The Indegeous People Of Biafra IPOB yesterday made a change of heart by suspending the proposed Sit At Home Order billed to commence on the fifth of November. Recall that the Director of Publicity for the body had earlier announced that it would commence a Sit At Home strike on the fifth of this month if it's leader Mazi Nnamd Kanu is not released unconditionally on the fourth of November. According to the statement signed by its Director of Publicity Comerade Emma Powerful the body said that it has to call off the Sit At Home Order following the appeal by the elders in the South East coupled with the grave economic implications of the strike on the people.   Anambra Tribunal Strikes Out Maduka Petition. Four More May Withdraw. As Soludo , Uba Set To Inspect Materials . NKIRU NWAGBO. The Anambra governorship Election Petitions Tribunal sitting in Awka today stuck out the petition filed by the candidate of Accord party Dr Godwin Maduka. Similarly there indications that four more petitioners may withdraw their petitions against the victory if the All Progressives Grand Alliance APGA following alleged internal challenges that has to do with the discrepancies between the political parties and their respective candidates. Also today the tribunal judges led by it's Chairman Hon Justice D Mohammed granted the Exparte Motions filed by Prof Charles Soludo of APGA and Sen Andy Uba of APCto inspect materials used during the November 6th governorship election in the area. Mercy Cynthia Mmesoma Obi, popularly known as Ada Jesus has died in an Abuja hospital of complications arising from kidney failure, few days after an encounter with Onitsha-based preacher, Chukwuemeka Ohanaemere, alias  Odumeje , inside his church. A video surfaced recently where the 27-year-old seriously sick young lady was taken to the pastor, to whom she went to seek forgiveness for her earlier comments, suggesting that his miracles were fake. But, the eccentric cleric boldly pointed out that he would not forgive her, and instead, laid more curses, including saying she would die of her sickness, as she lay on the floor, with her family members pleading her case.
