The coast is clear for APC to take over Anambra  says Ejidike, APC Chairman.

Chairman of the All Progressive Congress (APC) in Anambra State, Chief Basil Ejidike, has said that with the defection of key stakeholders of the ruling All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) and the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) into the APC, it has become obvious that APC would take over Anambra State come November 6, 2021 governorship election.


Ejidike made this declaration yesterday when the state and local government executives of the party hosted the senator representing Anambra North district, Princess Stella Oduah, at the state party secretariat in Awka, the state capital.


He said, “Yesterday, we received the number two citizen of Anambra State, Dr. Nkem Okeke, into our party, APC. This confirms the dimension the Anambra guber is heading to. Before now, many national assembly members, including Senator Stella Oduah, joined us.


“Also, a good number of state assembly members from the APGA extraction joined our party. The coast is now very clear for APC to take over Anambra. There is no doubt about it. In the days to come, we’re going to commence another round of membership drive, so that we’ll accommodate more people willing to join APC.”


He commended Senator Oduah for her love for APC, as well as her efforts towards mobilizing support for the party ahead of the November 6 governorship election in the state.


Speaking, Senator Oduah said she joined APC having realized the futility and folly of playing opposition politics in Nigeria. Describing her defection as the most natural decision to take, she said is presently well positioned to attract more bountiful democracy dividends to the senatorial district and Anambra State in particular.


Represented by Barr Amaka Ononuju, the senator further averred that she would contribute her quota in ensuring that APC takes over the state in November this year.


“Come November 6, we’ll all march to our wards and polling units to mobilize our people to vote APC and Andy Uba, so that together, we’ll sing the victor’s song when the result is announced on November 7, 2021,” she added.


Speaking, former member representing Ogbaru federal constituency, Hon. Victor Ogene, said that with Senator Oduah, APC would sweep all the 7 local government areas in Anambra North.

  IPOB Suspends Sit At Home. The Indegeous People Of Biafra IPOB yesterday made a change of heart by suspending the proposed Sit At Home Order billed to commence on the fifth of November.   Anambra Tribunal Strikes Out Maduka Petition. Four More May Withdraw. As Soludo , Uba Set To Inspect Materials . NKIRU NWAGBO. The Anambra governorship Election Petitions Tribunal sitting in Awka today stuck out the petition filed by the candidate of Accord party Dr Godwin Maduka. Similarly there indications that four more petitioners may withdraw their petitions against the victory if the All Progressives Grand Alliance APGA following alleged internal challenges that has to do with the discrepancies between the political parties and their respective candidates. Mercy Cynthia Mmesoma Obi, popularly known as Ada Jesus has died in an Abuja hospital of complications arising from kidney failure, few days after an encounter with Onitsha-based preacher, Chukwuemeka Ohanaemere, alias  Odumeje , inside his church.
