Obi Dismisses Litigations Again PDP.

Presidential running mate of the People's Democratic Party PDP and former governor of Anambra state Mr Peter Obi yesterday described the multiple litigations in the party as a show of rascality.


Obi who disclosed the at the party stakeholders meeting convened by its candidate Mr Valentine Ozigbo sad that it is not healthy for the party.


Obi however expressed strong belief that the Litigations would not affect the party's contest for the November governoship election in Anambra state.


This is coming as the National Working Committee NWC and National Executive Committee NEC of the PDP through the South East chapter of the party reaffirmed their support for the candidacy for Mr Valentine Ozigbo as it's flag bearer.


According to Obi "Iam worried about these litigations and you all know that while I was here as governor these things were not happening and I call this the hight of rascality and I can assure you that it would soon be over and the PDP would go back to where it use to be at the government house Awka; he said.


Addressing stakeholders of the party earlier Obi contended that he had no hand in the emergence of Mr Valentine Ozigbo adding that he did not influence the primary election.


"People are alleging that I was outside on that day sharing dollars and I want to make it clear that I did not see or share dollars and I am even looking for the dollars.


The primary election has come and gone and the person that emerged as our candidate is Mr Valentine Ozigbo and he is the best candidate among those that are contesting for the governoship election in Anambra state; he said.


Speaking earlier Mr Valentine Ozigbo appealed to party members and stakeholders to come together for the victory of the PDP in the coming election adding that the time is ripe for the party to return to the government house Awka.


Ozigbo confirmed the support of the National leadership of the party through a letter signed by the South East Secretary of the PDP Mr James Ugwu.


According to the letter "I Mr Ali Osefa on behalf of the National Working Committee NWC and National Executive Committee NEC of our great party and the zonal working committee of the party in the South East express our full support to the stakeholders reconciliation meeting of the party in Anambra state which you have convened and we encourage you to continue in that guise because you have our full mandate and wish you all happy and fruitful deliberation.

  IPOB Suspends Sit At Home. The Indegeous People Of Biafra IPOB yesterday made a change of heart by suspending the proposed Sit At Home Order billed to commence on the fifth of November. Recall that the Director of Publicity for the body had earlier announced that it would commence a Sit At Home strike on the fifth of this month if it's leader Mazi Nnamd Kanu is not released unconditionally on the fourth of November. According to the statement signed by its Director of Publicity Comerade Emma Powerful the body said that it has to call off the Sit At Home Order following the appeal by the elders in the South East coupled with the grave economic implications of the strike on the people.   Anambra Tribunal Strikes Out Maduka Petition. Four More May Withdraw. As Soludo , Uba Set To Inspect Materials . NKIRU NWAGBO. The Anambra governorship Election Petitions Tribunal sitting in Awka today stuck out the petition filed by the candidate of Accord party Dr Godwin Maduka. Similarly there indications that four more petitioners may withdraw their petitions against the victory if the All Progressives Grand Alliance APGA following alleged internal challenges that has to do with the discrepancies between the political parties and their respective candidates. Also today the tribunal judges led by it's Chairman Hon Justice D Mohammed granted the Exparte Motions filed by Prof Charles Soludo of APGA and Sen Andy Uba of APCto inspect materials used during the November 6th governorship election in the area. Mercy Cynthia Mmesoma Obi, popularly known as Ada Jesus has died in an Abuja hospital of complications arising from kidney failure, few days after an encounter with Onitsha-based preacher, Chukwuemeka Ohanaemere, alias  Odumeje , inside his church. A video surfaced recently where the 27-year-old seriously sick young lady was taken to the pastor, to whom she went to seek forgiveness for her earlier comments, suggesting that his miracles were fake.
