Anambra Commissioner Kidnapped During Attack On Soludo Released.

 The Anambra state  commissioner for public utilities  Engr Emeka Ezenwanne who was kidnapped on Wednesday when unknown Gunmen attacked the former Governor Central Bank of Nigeria,  Prof Soludo has been released.

Recall that  gunmen who invaded the venue of an interactive session between a Frontline All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) governorship aspirant, Prof Chukwuma Soludo and youths of his community, Isuofia.

The gunmen killed three of his Orderlies, and made away with the commissioner who had scaled the fence in attempt to escape, but ran into the gunmen.

A source who spoke to the commissioner said, "I just spoke to the commissioner now. He has been freed, and he is in good health too.

"He denied paying any ransom, and also told me that his abductors did not maltreat him in anyway."

It was  gathered that the commissionerwas released at about 1am on Easter day.

The  Anambra State Police Command  in a statement yesterday  confirmed the release of the abducted Commissioner .

According to the Public Relations Officer DSP Tochukwu Ikenga "The Police, Military and Other Security Agencies had mounted intense search and rescue efforts, which had closed in on his abductors, thereby forcing his release.  
The Hon Commissioner returned home unhurt, in the early hours of today 4th April 2021.

"Recall, he was abducted following the attack at Isuofia Civic Center that led to the murder of three (3) Police Officers by some hoodlums. 

"The Police Command had arrested five suspects in connection with the incident and remains committed in apprehending the remaining gang members.

"Meanwhile, the CP has called for calm and reiterates the Command’s commitment towards ensuring safety and security of *Ndi Anambra and residents alike., Ikenga added.

  IPOB Suspends Sit At Home. The Indegeous People Of Biafra IPOB yesterday made a change of heart by suspending the proposed Sit At Home Order billed to commence on the fifth of November.   Anambra Tribunal Strikes Out Maduka Petition. Four More May Withdraw. As Soludo , Uba Set To Inspect Materials . NKIRU NWAGBO. The Anambra governorship Election Petitions Tribunal sitting in Awka today stuck out the petition filed by the candidate of Accord party Dr Godwin Maduka. Similarly there indications that four more petitioners may withdraw their petitions against the victory if the All Progressives Grand Alliance APGA following alleged internal challenges that has to do with the discrepancies between the political parties and their respective candidates. Mercy Cynthia Mmesoma Obi, popularly known as Ada Jesus has died in an Abuja hospital of complications arising from kidney failure, few days after an encounter with Onitsha-based preacher, Chukwuemeka Ohanaemere, alias  Odumeje , inside his church.
