The President of United Business Women Association of Nigeria and Diaspora (UBWA), Mrs Nkiru Duru has urged Nigerian government to intensify efforts towards security of lives and property of the people.

Duru who spoke with our Correspondent in Abuja yesterday on Insecurity cases trending in the Country, said that the Federal government should not leave any stone unturned in the search for lasting solution to Insecurity which according to her affects women and children more.

In her words Duru said "Our women don't go to farm any more due to the fear that they would be beheaded after being raped in the farm. As a business woman and a mother I know what it means that the country is insecured , women are mostly affected , we cannot carry arms to defend ourselves neither can we fight these bandits and hersmen with physical strength.

"We depend only on our prayer, hoping that God will change the narrative of this country one day by touching the souls of our leaders to do what they supposed to do by securing lives and property .

"I want to also urge governments at all levels to create employment for our youths, beacuse they are being used to perpetrate all forms of actrocities because they are jobless, if they are busy majority will not like to get involved in these crimes they are committing".

She also urged the respective state governments to increase the funds for the Local Vigilante groups in order to ensure effective community policing in their states.
