I WRESTLED WITH DEMONS  SAYS METUH

BY NKIRU NWAGBO, AWKA.

Released National Publicity Secretary of the People's Democratic Party PDP Bar Olisa Metuh yesterday recalled that his six years legal ordeal was a battle with demons.

Metuh six years ago was arrested by security operatives and charged to Court for allegedly collecting the sum of N400 milion naira under the regime of President Goodluck Jonathan.

The federal High Court Abuja had earlier convicted him but recently the Appeal Court Abuja upturned the judgement.

Metuh who was given a heroic reception in Awka by the members of the People's Democratic Party PDP lamented that the over six years legal battle against him was a descend into the deepest of the valley.

"Today I am vindicated and I must tell you that I descended into the deepest part of the valley and I fought with demons .

" It was like an armed robber came to your house took all your earnings defy your wife beat up your children and you cannot do anything because he is an armed robber.

I thank God for showing me Mercy and I thank all the PDP gubernatorial aspirants and the party Leadership for their support and concern during my trying times .

Speaking earlier the Anambra state Chairman of the PDP Chief Ndubuisi Nwobu described the travel of Metuh as a calculated attempt to shut up the voice of the opposition by the government in power.

They came with trumped up charges against him and he appellate court in it's judgement ruled that the lower court erred in it's judgement and ruled that the matter should be retried and that shows vindication.

They did not allow him to go for medical treatment insisting that he will abscond despite the fact that the court has granted him bail.

Today he has gone to London and had his treatment and he is back in Nigeria and he did not abscond.
