  Ezeakunne foundation gifts house to widow, empowers over 400 in Onneh community Ruth Orji Awka It was a Christmas to remember for one Mrs Nkechinyere Nwafor, a 60 year-old widow in Onneh community, Orumba South Local Government Area Anambra State, as Ezeakunne Foundation gifted her a 3-bedroom bungalow as part of their 2025 edition of empowerment programme. The empowerment, which took place in Umuezeamasi village, Onneh, also witnessed the distribution of four shuttle buses and over 300 bags of rice to the needy and less privileged in the community. Speaking at the event, Nze Vincent Nwankwo, CEO of Ezeakunne Foundation, said the empowerment is an annual initiative aimed at uplifting the poor in the community. He stated that the programme, “which began 10 years ago”, is designed to help lift people out of poverty and suffering. Ebuka Onuorah, has called for prayers and safe journeys as community members prepare to return home for the Yuletide celebration.  Ahead of the festive season, Hon. Onuorah dedicated tomorrow’s Sunday service to the safe return of Enugwu-Agidi indigenes, urging all road users to drive responsibly, avoid speeding, and obey traffic rules. In a statement delivered at his country home following a tour of the community’s roads, Hon. Onuorah emphasized that the homecoming should be an opportunity for residents to contribute positively to the town’s development.  He reiterated his administration’s zero tolerance for indecent behaviors and called for responsible celebration, reminding everyone that Enugwu-Agidi’s reputation for peace and order must be upheld. NKIRU NWAGBO  The Anambra State government through Ministry of Local Government, Chieftaincy and Community Affairs has authoritatively put to rest weeks of orchestrated confusion in Enugwu-Agidi community, Njikoka LGA, by formally recognizing Hon. Chukwuebuka David Ebuka Onuorah as the substantive and continuing President-General of the Enugwu-Agidi Brotherly Union (EBU).  In a communiqué issued on November 26, 2025 (Ref: MLGCCA/CM/010/T/276), Commissioner Hon. Ndigwe's departure indeed painted the picture of life and the its end which is encapsulated in William Shakespeare death as a necessary end that must come when it must .
